Shapes of Conscious
With this sketchbook, I’ve been challenging my creativity by starting first with a simple shape, drawn without the end goal in mind. Once the shape is drawn, I go about filling it with a character that develops a story of its own. The idea here is to get out of my own way, to let the drawing develop itself without forcing it into a desired narrative or purpose.

Was about to grab some chips as a snack.
Managed to stop myself and grab a banana instead.
I know this sounds like a silly victory post, but this is -huge-. I have never really had good self-control when it comes to food. If I’m sad, depressed, or tired (tired today - don’t worry, I actually feel pretty good, emotion-wise!) I just want to stuff my face. Eating is an emotional experience for SO MANY PEOPLE and I completely get that.
But today, I grabbed a banana instead.
I’m pretty proud.

I am a chip lover. I have been buying the single packs of pringles. They come in low fat and regular and in different flavors, in multipacks. One single pack of regular has only 119 calories so I can indulge a little bit and still feel good about not scarfing down half a can (or bag.) The low fat ones have 100 calories but the texture is a bit off to me. For the extra 10 calories it was worth it to me to get the ones I enjoyed more.

Season’s upon us and I’m feeling generous this year!
And what better way to celebrate the holidays than with your very own big ball of fuzzy goodness? That’s right, I’m gonna be buying the winners of this giveaway their own Squishable of choice!
What is a Squishable? A Squishable is over 40 inches of round fuzzy cuteness that comes in a variety of different animals and objects. 40 inches too big? No worries! There are the smaller minis that are only 7 inches, and there are micros that are even smaller! Just check out the website already and ogle the selection!
There will be 3 winners! First winner will get one regular Squishable of their choice. Second winner will get one mini and one micro of their choice. The final winner will get one mini of their choice.
